PC

I find myself shouting inside lately! There are so many things in my life, choices I'm making, that go against what society (aka the World) would have me believe is right. And I'm succumbing to being PC about it....why? Is being politically correct blatently going against your convictions? Convictions that you know in your heart are right and true...and more importantly are backed by the Word of God. By being silent, am I failing God? Am I choosing the World over the Word?

Nevermind ...thankfully, I have a great Head (Travis) who showed me some scripture and cleared it up!
1 Peter 3:15
Proverbs 9:7
Matthew 7

I know I don't actually see you that often, but from everything I can tell, you are doing an amazing job of standing up for the Lord. Stick to your guns when you make decisions... you know what's best for you & your family, and you don't have to apologize for doing it!

As someone who knows you not, I was interested to see how you would address certain things. Being silent is NOT the same as being politically correct, and you have handled everything beautifully. At the end of our lives, we stand before God accountable for ourselves and for the rearing of our children. Though we do "do" Halloween, I have found myself defending some choices lately. I think God is just giving me the opportunity (after opportunity!) To defend Him, His son, and his Church. He clearly thinks I need some practice in this area. ;) So, all this is to say, "Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of me. Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in Heaven." Matthew 5:11, which is where I just happened to open up my Bible. (For real, that was the first verse I saw. Hehe. Gotta love when Jesus does that!)
